Ayesha is completing her PhD on neurodevelopmental conditions and their relationship to executive functioning in the paediatric population. She is currently undertaking her meta-analysis, which aims to identify distinct cognitive markers of executive dysfunction in ADHD, autism, foetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) and Tourette’s Syndrome in children. These include abilities such as working memory and attention.
Ayesha's PhD will allow for increased understanding on how early interventions can be tailored to specific developmental disorders in children, as well as those children that present with comorbidities. It will also enhance understanding on how specific cognitive functions are impacted.
