Professor Guastella is a clinical psychologist, the Michael Crouch Chair in Child and Youth Mental Health, and head of CAN Research. He is passionate about partnering with researchers, clinicians, government and industry to develop and deliver the best available assessments and treatments.

Dr Kelsie Boulton
As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the CAN Research team, Dr Kelsie Boulton is dedicated to identifying common needs for children and families with neurodevelopmental conditions, and developing innovative, evidence-based therapies to improve outcomes for these groups.

Dr Rinku Thapa
Dr Rinku Thapa brings an extensive range of experience and skills in the medical field to her role as a Senior Research Officer at CAN Research. She is currently exploring the links between heart rate variability, behaviour and mental health in autistic adults and children.

Carter Sun
Bridging his PhD and role as research assistant, Carter brings unique skills in machine learning algorithms to the CAN Reseach team. He is dedicated to identifying behavioural biomarkers, such as joint attention and eye contact, in autistic children with social differences.
