Partnership with The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network

SCHN.jfif

We aim to provide better access to research for the 1200 children that attend services through the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network each year, and to ensure new assessments and treatments make a difference for these children and their families.

By integrating evidence-based assessments of treatments within the network, we can gather enough evidence to know whether a treatment works and why. We also seek to develop systems for families so that they have greater access to their own assessments and feel empowered to decide what is best for them and their children.

We know that autism not only affects the person diagnosed but their entire family, so we also encourage parents of autistic children to take part in our clinical research programs. This helps us develop ways to better support families and caregivers, as well as uncover biological and behavioural markers that might play a role in the onset of autism.
